Overview

DashStats.net is a stat-tracking service for Geometry Dash. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Data We Collect

  • Discord account information — your Discord user ID, username, and avatar URL, obtained when you sign in via Discord OAuth. We do not receive your email or any other Discord data beyond what is listed here.
  • Geometry Dash username — entered by you during account linking, used solely to display your GD identity on the site.
  • Level completion data — level IDs, completion timestamps, and difficulty information synced from the DashStats Geode mod. This data is gameplay-derived and contains no personal information beyond your in-game activity.
  • Star count — your total GD star count as reported by the mod at the time of bulk sync.
  • Session data — a short-lived session token stored in a cookie to keep you signed in.

How We Use Your Data

  • To display your profile, stats, and completions on DashStats.net.
  • To calculate your XP, level, and leaderboard ranking.
  • To show recent activity on public feeds.
  • To allow other users to follow your profile.
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or analytics beyond operating the service.

Public Profiles

Your DashStats profile — including your GD username, level completions, XP, and rank — is publicly visible by default. Anyone can view your profile page at dashstats.net/u/[username].

Data Storage

All data is stored in JSON files on servers located in the EU/US. We do not use third-party databases or analytics platforms. Data is retained as long as your account is active.

Third-Party Services

  • Discord OAuth — used for sign-in. Discord's privacy policy applies to their handling of your data: discord.com/privacy.
  • Geometry Dash API — used to fetch level metadata (level name, difficulty, star rating) for display purposes.
  • Stripe — used to process VIP subscription payments. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never reach DashStats; we only store your Stripe customer and subscription id so we know whether your VIP is active. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.

Your Rights

  • Access — you can view all data we have associated with your account on your profile and settings pages.
  • Deletion — you can request account and data deletion by contacting us on Discord.
  • Unlinking — you can unlink your GD account at any time from the settings page; this does not delete stored completions.

Cookies and Analytics

  • Strictly necessary — a single session cookie keeps you signed in. It needs no consent and is only set when you sign in.
  • Analytics (optional) — only if you click "Accept" on the consent banner, we load our self-hosted Umami analytics (page views, device and browser type, approximate country) and Umami's session recorder, which records how you interact with pages so we can find and fix usability problems. Both run on our own server (umami.solynex.me); the data is not sent to third parties and is not used for advertising.
  • Your choice — if you click "Reject" (or do nothing), no analytics script is loaded at all. Your choice is stored in this browser's local storage. You can change it any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer; withdrawing consent stops recording immediately.
No advertising cookies are used.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
